James M. Glancy, 73, formerly of Batavia,died June 26, 2006. He was born June 11, 1933, in Afton, Ohio, the son of Oscar and Clara Glancy.
Glancy was the loving father of Denise K. (Ben) Snyder of Togiak, Alaska, Teresa A. Vanhoover of Cincinnati, Michael J. Glancy of Clearwater, Fla. and Timothy J. Glancy of Mt. Orab, Ohio.
Glancy was the adored grandfather of Ritchie Snyder of Togiak and Christina Glancy of Mt. Orab.
Other survivors include his sisters Rene Curry of Williamsburg, Rita (Carl) Edwards of Ft. Myers, Fla., and many other family members and friends.
Glancy was a life-long member of Holy Trinity Church in Batavia and the American Legion Post 237.
A memorial mass and luncheon will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 6 at Holy Trinity Church in Batavia with Father Bill Stockelman officiating.
Interment will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 7 at the National Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio.
