House fire claims life in New Richmond
New Richmond resident Juanita Grizzle, 70, was found dead June 8 after a fire tore through her Front Street home.

Dietz Furniture to close doors
The Dietz Furniture store in Bethel is going out of business. After being in operation at its current location on Plane Street since the 1940s, its doors will be closed for the last time Friday, June 23.

Taking steps to get ahead of the curve in November, the Clermont County Board of Elections recently purchased some machines that are able to print ballots on-site.
Home built in New Richmond during ‘Blitz’
June 5-9 was the Habitat For Humanity Home Builders Blitz Week. The blitz is an effort to construct 400 homes nationwide during this one week. In the greater Cincinnati area, three homes will be built this week from foundation to completion. One will be built in Latonia, Ky., one in Lawrenceburg, Ind., and the third one in New Richmond.
Brian listed first among Clermont countians in marathon
Seven Clermont countians are known to have placed among the top 100 of almost 10,000 runners in the Flying Pig Marathon. The annual 26-mile race took place May 7, beginning in downtown Cincinnati.
