Amnesty month to enjoy second try in July

June 23rd, 2006    Author: Rodney Beckwith    Filed Under: News

In an effort to create a friendlier environment for parents behind on their child support, the child support enforcement division of the Clermont County Office of Job and Family Services has designated another amnesty month for parents with mounting overdue support payments.

Being held in July, the month will not feature a reduction or dismissal of debt, but will allow parents who have not been paying to set up a payment program without fear of legal reprisal for past failed payments. Also, parents who are currently facing legal repercussions for non-payment can have those legal actions forgiven if they come forward and start a payment program.
