Brian listed first among Clermont countians in marathon

Seven Clermont countians are known to have placed among the top 100 of almost 10,000 runners in the Flying Pig Marathon.

The annual 26-mile race took place May 7, beginning in downtown Cincinnati.

Setting the pace for the local participants was Brian List of Milford who finished third overall in a time of 2-hours, 33-minutes, 56-seconds.

The other one-half dozen included Milford High School coach Dave Ackerman, himself a former Eagle cross country and track star performer, who was 28th in 2:52.34; Charles Sherman of Milford, 48th, 2:58.05; Jeffrey King of Milford, 51st, 2:58. 37; Bruce Jones of Loveland, 53rd, 2:58.41; Rod Sparks of Batavia, 54th, 2:58.48; and former Milford High School cross country and track star Steve Kneipp, 83rd, 3:05.35.
