Ten families displaced due to rule violation

A number of families from the Felicity area are calling foul after a contract dispute led Clermont County Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) to cancel their contracts and order a move to different landlords by the end of summer or face the loss of their section eight housing benefits.

The move, according to CMHA officials, came after their landlord allegedly violated a state or federal law involved in the contracts, resulting in the severing of all ties with that property owner.

Tera Sowers, one of those 10 families who will now be forced to find a new place to call home, said that she and the other tenants are upset that a dispute over one contract led to the cancellation of many.
