Miniature horses make wonderful pets

Wayne and Donna Roehm are raising a miniature horse named Stardust.

The miniature horse is what is known as a height breed. According to the American Miniature Horse Association, miniature horses are 34 inches or shorter.

They are a mixture of many bloodlines and are native to many countries, including Argentina, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

The Roehm family, who live in Amelia, thought that it would be interesting and fun to raise mini horses.

Nichole Webb holds Stardust, who is just about the same size as her neighbor, four-year-old Kyle WIlson. At right is Wayne Roehm.
