Large, organized meth lab one of the biggest
The investigation continues and one arrest has been made into what is being billed as the discovery of one of the largest meth labs in Clermont County history. The discovery, made on June 15, uncovered a large-scale operation involving a meth-producing compound, well stocked in supplies for the manufacture of the illegal drug.
Ground broken in Union Township
More than 100 people attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Total Quality Logistics Corporate Headquarters in Union Township June 20. TQL Executive Vice-President Kerry Byrne said that the new $15 million, four-story, 100,000 square foot building will provide more than 600 new jobs this year in Clermont County.
Miami Valley male youth cage team qualifies for tournament
The Miami Valley Braves 12 and under boys basketball team will be competing very soon in Virginia Beach, Va. Most of the team members are Clermont County residents and most of them reside in the West Clermont School District.

Joe Smith was recently recognized for his baseball skills. The Amelia High School graduate was chosen in the third round, the 94th selection overall, by the New York Mets in the 2006 First Year Player Draft. Smith, a 6-foot, 2-inch, 205-pound junior had been a right hand relief pitcher for the Wright State Raiders. His performance through the 2006 season earned him the Horizon League Pitcher of the Year honors as well as the NCAA
Registered nurse from Milford heading to India to teach first aid
As a part of Operation Harvest, The First Baptist Church of Milford is sending Milford resident and missionary Angi Johnson to India next month. Johnson, 55, is a registered nurse who works as an executive for The Visiting Nurse Association of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, the oldest and largest free standing non-profit home health agency in the city.
