Dovie May Walker, 87, of Amelia, died May 12. She was born on Jan. 16, 1919 in Williamsburg, Ky. She was a supervisor for the Midwest Donut Company.
Robert R. Sanders, 75
Robert Russell Sanders, 75, of Union Township, died April 30. He was a Mechanic and a Korean War Veteran. Robert was preceded in death by parents, Harry and Gertrude; and brother, Harry.

Amelia fills vacant council seat
Harold Walters will be filling the unexpired vacant seat on the Amelia Village Council. At its May 15 meeting, council members unanimously agreed to appoint Walters to fill the seat which has been vacant since Michelle Girard resigned her position from Council last month.
