Post office cites biting statistics

This week, the federal government has been making every effort to take a bite out of crime, and hopefully reduce the amount of drool as well.

Known to the US Postal carriers and the public as National Dog Bite Prevention Week, the hope is that, with a little care and a lot of fence, that the daily lives of the men and women of the post office will be made a little easier and a lot safer.

Mike Vance, the new postmaster for Batavia, said that the program is close to ancient, at least in dog years.
