The final resting place of the last surviving Union Civil War veteran of Clermont County was recognized with a dedication on May 21.
The General William H. Lytle Camp #10, a unit of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War (SUVCW), dedicated a memorial bronze plaque on the grave of Private Leonidas H. Fisher at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Monroe as part of a national program of identifying and recognizing the last surviving Union Civil War veteran in every county in the United States.
