Milford petition may not result in referendum

Shortly after voters acted to defeat a school levy placed on the May ballot by Milford schools, the board moved to counteract what they feared was an attempt to further sap funding from the schools by, ironically, circulating a petition to reduce school funding.

The odd move, said Valerie Miller, Communications Coordinator for Milford Schools, was designed to halt any similar move made by groups seeking to lower taxes and severely reduce the school
