East Fork State Park held its 20th Annual Gold Rush Days Campout on May 5, 6, and 7 to kick off the 2006 camping season.

Gathering at the Park Campground in Williamsburg, the public celebrated local history and participated in numerous fun activities such as primitive cooking, sundial reading, fire starting, knife and tomahawk throwing, black powder demonstrations, panning for gold, and scouting, tracking, and survival techniques.

There was also a free lunch, a cornbread cook-off, and old-fashioned bean soup for everyone.
