Homeless shelter seeking a new home
While Clermont County may not be known for the sight of people sleeping in the street or on park benches, the issue of homelessness continues to be a growing problem for many Clermont County residents.
Nascar Days held at American Micro Products
The American Micro Products Company in Batavia held its second annual Nascar Days on May 20. There were games, door prizes, and a raffle. A car from the Kentucky Speedway and three other local dirt track race cars were there for everyone to see.
Illegals not a big issue for Clermont, according to sheriff
While other Ohio counties and states around the nation are seeing news of illegal immigrant roundups, there is little chance of a similar activity being executed in Clermont County, said Sheriff Tim Rodenberg. According to a statement issued by Sheriff Rodenberg, there has been little to no activity or issues involving illegal immigrants in the county, and there is little cause to believe that there will be any in the near future.

Five Clermont County high school varsity fast pitch softball teams advanced to their sectional final to no avail.
Bataille and Elkins win
Felicity seniors Judy Bataille and Billie Elkins earned Division III district titles in the event that took place at New Richmond High School. Michael Chacksfield, a Cincinnati Hills Christian junior and Miami Township resident, was also a double titlist.
Williamsburg crowned sectional champion
Williamsburg carried the Clermont County banner the furthest in the baseball tournament. The Wildcats concluded a respectable campaign with an overall 10-11 record, but were 5-2 outside of Southern Buckeye Conference competition.
Young Eagles place in GMC track and field competition
Milford girls garnered fifth place Greater Miami Conference track and field championships. Colerain was the champion of the 10-team meet with a total of 149.5 points; the E-Gals earned 38.
Goshen wins boys district track title again; 11 crowns and four records go to Clermont County
Clermont County dominated the Division II district track and field championships that took place at New Richmond High School. Twelve Clermont countians won titles in 11 events.
