The Union Township Fire Department took a giant leap toward the purchase of a new thermal imaging camera with a donation by American Legion Post 72 at the April 11 meeting.

The camera, needed to help outfit a new fire station that was recently built into the base of a new Union Township water tower, has been a fund-raising goal for the legion post for about a year.
