Powerlifting as a high school competition is making a comeback in Clermont County. Amelia has gathered together one-half dozen of its athletes who are competing as a team. It has been more than a decade since powerlifting was a serious prep sport of sort in many of the county high schools.
Most of the powerlifting programs began in the early to mid 1980s and continued into the early 1990s. Powerlifting was encouraged to get the respective school
