Laith David, an eighth grade student at St. Louis School in Owensville, has been chosen to participate in the Ohio State Science Fair and Competition to be held next month at the Ohio State University in Columbus.
After visiting the large wind tunnel for testing airplane wings at the Wright Patterson Air Force Base, David was inspired to engineer his own airplane wings with different varying air-flow designs. His designs showed which airplane wings gave the most lift and which ones gave the least drag. He tested his designs in a smaller wind tunnel and presented his results at the University of Cincinnati
