Members of the Batavia Township Board of Trustees are hoping to reap the benefit of the recent tax increment financing deal they cut with the county through the construction of some roadways within the township. Late last year, the county enacted a TIF program on several developing communities located in Batavia Township for the purpose of collecting property taxes on those properties to fund roadway improvements. A deal made between the township and the county gave the township some say by requesting road projects that they would like to see completed within the township.
