How local entrepreneurs can operate and the regulations surrounding commercial lighting are but two of the many changes that are expected to be adopted by the Batavia Township Board of Trustees through text amendments to their zoning code. Dozens of changes were proposed at the Feb. 20 meeting by zoning consultant Jonathan Wocher and Zoning Administrator Denise Kelley for review and approval by the trustees at an upcoming meeting. The various and detailed changes were an effort to update the code and, said Kelley, to take away a lot of discretionary powers that could cause conflicts.
