Clermont Senior Services launched their official bid to pass an operating levy in the May 2 election Monday with a campaign kickoff at the Union Township Civic Center. The levy would replace one passed five years ago, and would take effect in 2007. Ed Smith, Chairman of the Board of Clermont Senior Services, said that he was confident in the support that the levy would receive to continue providing services to the senior citizens of Clermont County.

Clermont County Commissioner Bob Proud encourages a group of seniors to campaign for the levy, which he called an insurance policy for younger county residents. Clermont Senior Services, he said, is the envy of the state.
