Batavia Mock Trial going to state
Batavia High School and Summit Country Day will be going to the state mock trial competition March 9-11 in Columbus. On Friday, Feb. 10, 11 local high schools competed in the district mock trial tournament. The tournament was sponsored by the Clermont County Municipal Courts, Clermont County Court of Common Pleas, and the Clermont County Bar Association.
Councilman Tasch assumes seat on council in Amelia
Robert Tasch, formerly of New York, moved to Amelia 14 months ago.
Milford City Council votes to move a portion of Chamber Drive
Milford councilman James Antell discussed with council at its Feb. 7 meeting the possibility of moving a part of Chamber Drive to create a temporary right of way.
Rotary Club moves meetings to the Clermont County Airport
The Batavia Rotary Club has moved its meeting location to the Hawk building at the Clermont County Airport, located at 4160 Taylor Road in Batavia. The club meets at 7 a.m. every Tuesday morning.

Richard Louis Chandler, 80, of Stonelick Township, died Feb. 10, 2006. He did landscaping for Natorps. He was preceded in death by his brother David.

Betty A. (nee Gifford) Loux, 79, Batavia, died Feb. 8, 2006. She was preceded in death by her sister Caryl Coombs.
