Local couple move to create innovative non-profit with goats

As the rural tradition of Clermont County continues to be gobbled up along with the farmland that is now growing houses instead of crops and livestock, one Batavia Township family is looking to take an innovative approach to keeping the livestock tradition alive. Wayne and Patty Porter have started BARN Inc, or Batavia Agricultural Resource Network, to lend a helping hoof to local families who still try and keep in touch with their agri-culture, as well as to local students who may find learning a little easier from the perspective of a goat.
