Homer Abner, 85, of New Richmond died Feb. 4, 2006. He was born Jan. 27, 1921, the son of the late Robert and Alaphair (Barger) Abner.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II. He retired from Laurens Brothers, Inc. as the General Manager. He was a member of the New Richmond Masonic Lodge and the DAV.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary, and by five brothers and one sister.
He is survived by wife, Lena, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Feb. 8, 2006 at the Kennedy-Stevens Funeral Home. Interment followed at the Laurel Cemetery, concluding with full military honors.
