Nine students from the seventh and eighth grade classes of Felicity Franklin Middle School headed to Columbus Jan. 21 to participate in the National Engineers Week Future City Competition.
The students received three special awards: best use of energy, best moving part, and best use of water resources engineering.
Miranda Brigman and Shelley Nooe, both science teachers, were the teacher-advisors for the student project. Michelangelo Pedicini is the local engineer mentor for the students.
