Louis H. Shinkle, 81, of Batavia, died Jan. 25, 2006.

He was a World War II veteran. He served six years as Batavia Township Trustee.

He was preceded in death by sister Louise Bond.

He is survived by wife Betty Jean (nee Beach) Shinkle; sons, Jim, Steve, Dick, Mike, John; sister, Helen, Shirley; brothers, Jerry, Bob, Bill, Leo, Ed; 10 grandchildren; 10 greatgrand children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services were held Jan. 30, 2006 at the Moore Family Funeral Home in Batavia. Interment followed at Batavia Union Cemetery.
