Geis to leave Union Township

After more than 22 years of service with the township that many have come to associate him with, Ken Geis, Union Township Administrator, has announced his resignation and will be moving on to the private sector in late March. Geis, who has served with Union Township as administrator for almost 13 years, will leave a township that the trustees say has shown incredible improvement since he took office.

Midland breaks ground on new wing of thriving corporation

On Feb. 20, state and local representatives gathered at the Midland Company campus to celebrate the official groundbreaking for their new facility. The new structure, which will connect to the old structure, will add around 205,000 square feet of office space to the company

Four teens charged in 2005 crime spree

Six months of investigative work by the Miami Township Police Department netted four teenagers who have been arrested and charged with numerous counts of crimes, including burglary, breaking and entering, theft and criminal damaging. The crimes, committed in Miami and Symmes townships, began in August of 2005.
