David Paul Riley, 58
David Paul Riley, 58, of Williamsburg, died on Dec. 21, 2005. He is survived by his wife Jacqueline; son, David; daughter Katherine, grandchildren, Keith, and Alicia, brothers Mike and Doug; sisters Barbara, Connie, Carol and Lisa; aunts Lelia and Norma; and many other family members.
New Richmond Fire Department and EMS will be combined as of Jan. 1
The New Richmond Village Council made several changes at its Dec. 13th meeting. The New Richmond EMS and Fire Departments will combine in January, and the council cut the Ohio Main Street Program from the 2006 budget.

Amelia Council seeks to fill vacant seat
Amelia mayor Mark Menz told council at its Dec. 19 meeting that they still have not received any inquiries about the vacancy on the council. Menz said that council now has 30 days to find a replacement, so now it will be up to the mayor to find a replacement for outgoing council member Cathy Copenhaver.
Batavia Township sports new logo incorporating school colors
After spending most of the year in search of a new identifying emblem, the Batavia Township Trustees recently decided on a new logo for the township. The process of applying the logos to township vehicles began last week.
Milford considers sludge hauling for the city
The public services committee of the Milford City Council recently held a meeting in which they discussed sludge hauling for the city. Council member Jim Gradolf said that in the past 40 years the city has had a press in which they pressed the sludge into a large block then hauled away.
