Process to become charter village undertaken

A committee formed by the Bethel Village Council proposed at the Jan. 23 meeting that the village pursue the formation of a charter. The proposal, made by councilman John Swarthout, was made in the hopes that a charter would update and streamline the way Bethel is governed.
