Dorothy Kay Hicks, 66, of Bethel, died Dec. 2, 2005. She was born on June 29, 1939, the daughter of the late Oscar and Nora (Bayliff) Sheerly.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Sheerly; a sister, Jean Alice Davidson; a grandson, Ryan Jennings; and husband Jim, of Batavia, and Gregory Hicks of Amelia; four grandchildren, Cheyenne, James, Kelly and Misty; and by three great grandchldren, Joshua, JR, and Steven. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Dec. 8 at Kennedy-Stevens Funeral Home in Bethel.

Burial will follow in the Tate Township Cemetery in Bethel.
