Batavia BOE gives its approval for TIF to proceed

Batavia Local School District has given the Clermont County Commissioners their consent to proceed with a 30-year Tax Increment Finance plan that will tap 100 percent of the property tax funds from five developments in Batavia Township. The move is the latest development in an ongoing attempt by the county to set up an economic development machine that is expected to accomplish more than $70 million in infrastructure improvements to Batavia and Union townships.
