Tim Young was recently honored by his alma mater when Batavia High School named its press box to commemorate his years of work.

Goshen, New Richmond, Milford, and Bethel wrestlers flattening foes in early season action

Goshen, New Richmond, Milford, and Bethel turned in respectable efforts in recent wrestling action. Goshen was third in its own tournament of duals. Conner (Ky.) was the winner followed by, in order, Mason B, the host Warriors, Cincinnati Country Day, and Hamilton Badin.

Glen Este, Batavia, and Clermont Northeastern distaff cagers are continuing their winning ways

Glen Este shined the brightest and Batavia and Clermont Northeastern also emerged unbeaten in a rather mediocre week of Clermont County high school varsity girls basketball play.

Minton, Taylor, Graham, and Conrad have been selected for Amelia High Sports Hall of Fame

Amelia High School has selected the 2006 class of its sports hall of fame. Steve Minton (class of 1963) for more than 10 years was the owner of most of the Amelia sprint records in track. He was a four-year track lettermen and a Clermont County League (CCL) all-star all four years.

Steven Charles Stewart, 41

Steven Charles Stewart, 41, of New Richmond, died on Dec. 11, 2005. He was preceded in death by his mother Iris (Nee Irwin) Stewart, three brothers, Desmond, Avery and Adrian.

Helen Louise Flatt, 78

Helen Louise Flatt, 78, of Stonelick Township died Dec. 19, 2005. She was born on Oct. 5, 1927, the daughter of the late Elsie Pearl Brown and Brown.
