Milford to fund study to design a stabilization project

The City of Milford has made the decision to provide funds for a major study to design a riverbank stabilization project. At the Milford City Council meeting Nov. 15, council members voted to pass an ordinance to enter into agreement with Oxbow River & Stream Restoration to assess the cost of the restoration project.
The cost of the study will be $22,000 to properly assess what it will take to develop and restore the property along the riverbank. The property is located on Water Street and is privately owned by the Clermont Lumber Company. Most council members agree that it is imperative for the city to head the restoration project through funding because it is a major precursor to the city
