Mabel Irene Newsome, 85, of Amelia, died on Nov. 9, 2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Newsome; a son, William Newsome; and her parents, German and Mary Helm.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Kidd, Anna Lunsford, Carolyn Holden-Wesley and Linda Newsome; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Althea Roe and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held on Nov. 15 at Craver-Riggs Funeral Home in Milford.
