West Clermont levy fails

November 10th, 2005    Author: Rodney Beckwith    Filed Under: News

While the West Clermont Schools bond issue was defeated only narrowly, the margin was wide enough to send the message that several hundred more residents of the district who voted Tuesday were unwilling to provide additional funding for school building projects. Having just passed a landmark operational levy less than two years ago, the $59 million bond levy would have replaced four elementary schools and made improvements to two athletic fields.

Unofficial results showed the West Clermont levy to have failed 7,336 to 6,519.
