Finan, Singleton, and Kennedy place among the best in state chase

Three Clermont County harriers placed very well in the state cross country championships.

Eric Finan, New Richmond junior, placed sixth in the Division II boys race with a time of 16-minutes, 11-seconds over the 3.1- mile Scioto Downs course in Columbus. Goshen senior Logan Singleton was 14th in 16:29.

In the Division II girls race, New Richmond freshman Alana Kennedy was ninth with a clocking of 19:13.

Clermont countians have advanced far in other various levels of competition.

Cross Country

In the regional competition that took place in Troy, Finan was third in 16:14 and Singleton was fourth in 16:18. Kennedy was second in 19:15.

Girls Soccer

Milford was eliminated in the Division I district, but only after the E-Gals earned their way to the championship game. The Red and White was edged by St. Ursula 1-0 as they managed just four shots at the enemy goal in the battle played at Princeton High School.
