Batavia names Wright Citizen of the Year

The village of Batavia has decided to honor Harris Wright with the Citizen Of The Year award. Mayor John Thebout made the announcement on Monday, Nov. 7 at the Batavia village council meeting.

Council members voted unanimously to elect Wright as Citizen Of The Year immediately after accepting his nomination. The nomination was made by residents of the community.

The award recognizes individuals who have become indispensable to the community by demonstrating both outstanding service and commitment to the village of Batavia.
