Mail carrier dies in accident

A tragic single-car accident Tuesday killed the second Clermont County US postal worker in as many weeks. Taken in the accident was Williamsburg resident Gary Bainum, 55, who died when his 1993 Jeep Cherokee overturned in a curve near the bottom of a steep hill on Greenbriar Road. Bainum was making his daily delivery for the post office when the accident happened.
Bainum was not wearing a safety belt, which officers on the scene said probably contributed to making the accident fatal.
