With only three seats open, two of the five candidates running for the New Richmond Exempted Village School Board will not finish a successful campaign this November. Currently, two of the candidates will run for re-election, while three newcomers will pit their experiences and skills against the other candidates in an attempt to sway voters. Running are incumbents Ralph Shepherd and Kevin Walriven against Mandy Friedmand, Aaron Maus and Kim Hayden.
Shepherd, the current school board president, said in a news release that his 16 years of experience and 54 years of residency in the community will serve him well on the board.
