The village of Williamsburg is bracing itself for the negative effects of Ohio House Bill 66 as 2006 approaches. At the village council meeting held Oct.13, council members discussed ways of dealing with the financial burden which will be inherited by the village once the bill goes into effect.
In his regular report, village clerk Mike Murray introduced the issue to council and explained the negative effects House Bill 66 will have on Williamsburg. Murray said the village will likely lose around $22,000 per year once the bill goes into effect after the five year phase-out period.
