Township resists creation of TIF district

The tax revenue dollars generated by five developments under construction in Batavia Township is the subject of growing contention between the township trustees and Clermont County Commissioners.

Normally, the property tax dollars would go to the township, but the county is taking steps to guarantee that the money goes into a special fund designated for infrastructure improvements around the county.
