High school girl returned safely to area home
The man who allegedly left the state with a 16-year-old Glen Este High School junior was arrested by Union Township Police officers in the morning hours of Oct. 12.
According to Union Township Police Detective Sgt. Scott Gaviglia, Barry Pollard, 52, is charged with felony-level interference with custody pertaining to his leaving town with Ashley Snell. The crime is a felony because he left Ohio with Ashley.
Gaviglia said that police tracked Pollard and Snell all the way to Phoenix. They were traveling in the tan Ford extended cab pickup truck that police asked people to be on the watch for.
Pollard returned Ashley to her home Oct. 12. She did not appear to have any signs of harm, Gaviglia said.
