With crossed arms, indifferent expressions and dragging feet, six teenagers housed at the Clermont County Juvenile Detention Center enter a room unlike most in the facility.
The room is cheerful with hand-painted pictures displaying positive statements pinned to the walls. Sunlight fills the room that consists of a table surrounded by about eight plastic chairs, a desk, a bookshelf stocked with books and games and many other activity-related items. In one corner there are chairs and micro-bead pillows, possibly for reading.
But like every other room in the facility there is a surveillance camera and the door to the bathroom can only be opened by the control room.
