A huge number of Clermont County residents are approaching November with civic duty in mind. This year, four candidates are up for election to village council for four open seats in the village of Amelia.

In that race are current council members Pamela Troxell and Michele Girard along with newcomers Eric Kelso and Andrew Parker.

Each described a number of experiences and attributes that they say will make them effective at handling the challenges of running a village.

Troxell, a 36-year-old paralegal, has lived in Amelia for nearly eight years and is finishing out her first term in office.
