The official opening of the extended section of Sycamore Park got one step closer to completion with the installation of pedestrian bridge on Sept. 19. The expansion, which was made possible by the Pattison Foundation and a Clean Ohio Fund grant, will more than double the size of the park once the new 30 acres of land is ready for visitors.
Workers install a foot bridge at Sycamore Park in Batavia, connecting the existing park to the wooded, 30-acre tract which is being added to the park. Hiking trails are being constructed in the wooded section by local Boy Scouts.
