Batavia shot what may be the best round of golf in Clermont County high school golf history since the sport began on the prep level in the spring of 1967.
The Bulldogs shot a 137 on the back nine at Wilmington Elks Golf Course, the home links for Blanchester High School. On Sept. 15 on the the par 36 course, junior Tyler Hawk shot 31, senior Jay Santel 34, junior Erik Hughes 35, junior Bill Braselton 37 and the number-five back-up man sophomore Brent Braselton 39.
The Batavia varsity golf team recorded what may be a county or possibly even a state record nine-hole round of 137. The Bulldog linksmen are, left to right, Erik Hughes, Derek Boggs, Jake Santel, Brent Braselton, Tyler Hawk, and Bill Braselton.
