Union Township receives homeland security grant

Union Township Fire Chief Stan Deimling said that his department has accepted a grant in the amount of $268,920 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that was recently awarded to further training and preparedness for firefighters.
With the Federal money and 10 percent matching funds from Union Township of $29,880, the department will purchase an advanced piece of training equipment.
