Groundbreaking held for new Batavia administration building
A portion of a 71-acre expanse off Clough Pike in Batavia Township is being cleared to make room for a new administration building set to open Spring 2006.
On Tuesday, Sept. 6 the drone of bulldozers muffled the voices of township administrators and construction workers as they ceremoniously plunged shovels into the dirt, symbolizing the ground breaking for the new building.
Batavia Township Trustees Deborah Clepper, Lee Cornett and Archie Wilson, Batavia Township Administrator Rex Parsons and Batavia Township Clerk Jennifer Haley, along with several members from the construction company CVC posed for pictures wearing hard hats and holding ribbon-adorned shovels.
However, the land is slated for more than the administration building
