Last year he led the varsity boys soccer team to the Greater Miami Conference (GMC) championship and along the way earned the GMC and Southwest Ohio Coaches Association coach of the year honors in addition to being the coach of the East team in the Greater Cincinnati all-star game.

Trout has coached at about all levels in boys basketball where he has led the Eagles to some conference crowns. He has had a goal to become an athletic director, but he did not expect the opportunity to arise so early in his career. This works into his life very well considering he earned a master
