Bethel considering new curbs and gutters for Plane Street

Bethel residents may have an easier time of it while driving through the downtown area of Bethel, but then again, they may not. A number of grant applications and suggested improvements to the Plane Street area in the center of town were proposed at the Aug. 22 meeting, but issues of what to do first and the certainty of grant approval left little certain by adjournment.

Bruce Brandstetter, a grant and engineering consultant for Bethel, proposed a grant for issue 2 money to improve drainage on Plane Street through curb and gutter replacement.
