Trustees to discuss village association request for funding

Members of the Batavia Township Board of Trustees expressed feelings of shock at their meeting Monday, Aug. 1 at a request from the Batavia Village Association for a donation that could exceed $150,000 over the next five years. Presenting their case to the trustees, Kathy McCoy-Leone represented the village association in its bid to draw some of their necessary funding from the township that surrounds Batavia village.
