The fate of the former Bethel Swim Club property remains in question after councilman Kevin Perkins suggested that council move to sell the property to generate park funds. The land, purchased approximately two years ago, has been at the center of a controversy in the village ever since, most recently culminating in the decision not to re-open the former community pool.

Perkins, who addressed the council, said that he felt the property should be sold in order to better fund the current village parkland, Burke Park.
